Answers to Your Burning Questions

Curious about how it works, what to expect, or what’s included? You’re in the right place.
What is The Ritual experience like?

Whether attending a pop-up or joining a private session, The Ritual is a guided experience through heat, cold, and rest.  All guests must complete a digital waiver before participating.

What is the “Ritual Cycle?”

Our approach to contrast therapy is rooted in rhythm and restoration.  Here’s how the Ritual Cycle flows:

  • HEAT– Step into the sauna to elevate your core body temperature.  Most guests begin with 5–15 minutes.  Listen to your body.
  • COOL– Embrace cold exposure (if desired) via our clean, intentional cold plunge, the bucket pour, or other forms of cooling down.
  • REST– Let your nervous system recalibrate.  Sit quietly.    Hydrate.  Allow your body to return to balance before beginning your next round.
  • REPEAT– Move intuitively.  Repeat the cycle as many times as your body welcomes.  Most guests enjoy 2–3 rounds.

Note: Always consult a physician before participating if you have underlying health conditions.

How long should I stay in the sauna?

Each body is different.   We recommend sauna sessions in rounds — typically 3 cycles of 10–15 minutes in the hot room, followed by rest and cool-down.  The first round may feel the most intense as your body acclimates.  Listen to your body.  You’re welcome to step out, cool down, hydrate, and return as you feel called.

How many people fit in the sauna?

Our mobile sauna comfortably seats 8 guests at a time.  For larger groups, we thoughtfully guide participants through a staggered experience, allowing everyone to enjoy the full heat + cold cycle without overcrowding.  This ensures each guest receives the attention and space needed for a truly restorative session.

What’s included in all activations?
  • Wood-burning Finnish sauna
  • Nordic Wave Cold Plunge (ozone-filtered)
  • Full setup and takedown

Please bring:

  • Appropriate footwear – flip-flops, slides, or water shoes are ideal

What should I wear?

Most guests wear a swimsuit or other wellness-appropriate attire.  You’ll want something breathable, comfortable, and easy to change out of between rounds.  Towels or cover-ups are welcome between sessions.

Where can guests or employees change clothing?

For corporate or onsite activations, we recommend one of the following options:

  • Use of existing restrooms or locker rooms on-site
  • Use of The Ritual’s mobile privacy tents (available upon request)
  • Guests may also arrive dressed in wellness-appropriate attire when possible
